From the 1st of July 2007, the bank of Ghana will re-denominate our cedi. The new currency and its symbols will be Ghana cedi (GH¢) and the Ghana pesewa (Gp). This shall be exchanged for existing notes and coins. Please note that this exercise will not lead to price increase.

The sachet of water which is priced at ¢300 will now be 3Gp. The Value is the same
