Henry Oroh – Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer
Henry Oroh is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited with almost two decades of experience in the banking industry. Prior to assuming this role, he served in the capacity of Executive Director with oversight responsibility for Marketing, Corporate Banking and Business Development.
Before joining Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, Henry was with Zenith Bank Plc and served in several Managerial roles where he exhibited exceptional leadership skills and was able to inspire his Group to achieve the coveted title of “the most profitable” as well as “the highest in deposits” bank wide. His expertise cuts across operations, IT, treasury, and Marketing especially, the Manufacturing, Food and Beverages, Pharmaceuticals, Oil and Gas, Public Sector, Consumer as well as Corporate Banking.
Henry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Benin, Benin City and an MBA from the Lagos State University. He is a Chartered Accountant and an honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria. Henry also holds an LLB from the University of London.
Before joining Zenith Bank Plc, he spent over seven (7) years at Citibank where he served in Operations, Treasury and Marketing.
Henry has won several local and international accolades and was most recently adjudged the Banking CEO of the Year 2019 by both the International Finance Magazine and the International Business Magazine. He also won the CEO of the Year 2019 by the CEO Monthly Magazine. In the year 2018 he was adjudged the Finance Personality of the Year at the Ghana Accountancy and Finance Awards, Outstanding Corporate Personality of the Year at the West Africa Business Excellence Awards and 1st Runner Up, Ghana’s Most Respected CEO at the year 2018 at the Ghana Industry CEO Awards. He also won the CEO of the Year 2018 award at the 2018 Global Excellence Awards as well as Best Banking CEO of the Year 2018 in Ghana by the European Magazine.
He has attended several courses locally and abroad, including Executive Management Courses at The Harvard Business School, Columbia University, University of Chicago, HEC Paris, JP Morgan Chase UK, Bode Agusto & Co., Nigeria and Lagos Business School.
Henry has a strong passion for the growth of the brand in Ghana and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of strategies which have culminated in the increase of the Bank’s capacity, size, market share and industry rankings in all parameters. He has also spearheaded the introduction of innovative banking products and services in the Ghanaian market. Under his able leadership, he has ensured that excellent customer experience remains at the centre of the Bank’s customer service strategy.
Maebelle Denya Nortey – Divisional Head
Mrs. Maebelle Denya Nortey is a General Manager and Divisional Head (Marketing) in Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited with over eighteen (18) years’ experience in Product Development, Brand Strategy, Channel Management and Business Planning within the Banking industry. She has oversight responsibility for some sectors and branches of the Bank.
Prior to joining Zenith Bank, she was the Regional Director (Retail and Consumer Banking) at Standard Trust Bank (now UBA Ghana Ltd.). She started her career as an Account Relationship Manager at Lintas, then Ghana’s foremost advertising agency. She previously also worked as the Brands Manager at the Accra Brewery Limited and was the Head of Marketing at SG-SSB Bank (now Societe Generale Ghana Ltd.).
At the 2019 5th Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards, Maebelle was awarded the Banking Personality of the Year for her accomplishments in Ghana’s financial sector. She was awarded Best Marketing Person at Standard Trust Bank (now UBA Ghana Ltd.) in 2005 and was also a nominee for the CIMG Professional Marketer of the year in 2003.
Maebelle holds a degree in Administration (Management) and a Master in Business Administration (Marketing), both from the University of Ghana, Legon.
She has attended numerous workshops and executive programs at Harvard University, Wharton University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both in the United States, as well as working visits to a host of countries, including Nigeria, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Abiodun A. Durosinmi – General Manager, Operations
Abiodun Durosinmi is the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited and has over twenty (20) years experience in the Nigerian banking industry. Until he was seconded to Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, he was the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Zenith Bank Plc. Nigeria.
After an initial audit training, he worked for over four (4) years with Lead Merchant Bank Limited and thereafter joined the Zenith Bank Group in January 2001. His industry work experience spreads across Internal Audit, Financial Control, Strategic Planning, Marketing, Risk Management and Compliance. Some of his awards since joining the Bank have included; the Best Head Office Non – Marketing Staff (Financial Control and Strategic Planning Department – 2002/2003) and the Most Outstanding Leader in Financial Control and Strategic Planning Department (2005).
Biodun has a Higher Diploma in Accounting and an MBA in Project Management (Manchester Business School). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, a Certified Compliance Officer and a Member of the Global Academy of Finance & Management (GAFM). He has attended several training programs which include “Leading Change” at the London Business School. He is an advocate of adherence to regulations and the promotion of sound Corporate Governance.
Daniel Agamah – Group Head, Business Support & Company Secretary
Daniel Agamah holds a first degree in Law and Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon (1991), a Qualifying Certificate of Law from the Ghana School of Law (1993) and a Master’s degree in International Law from the University of Cape Town, South Africa (2000).
He was called to the Bar in Ghana in 1993 and has held various positions in international law and private practice. In addition to the Ghana Bar Association, Daniel holds memberships in the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors and the International Bar Association.
Before joining the Bank in 2005, Daniel worked with the African Society of International and Comparative Law, an international law NGO (1995 – 2002) as the Legal Officer for West Africa, and also at the law firm of Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah (2002 – 2005) as a Senior Associate.
He has attended Executive Management courses at the London School of Economics, Euromoney Legal Training, Crown Agents UK, Meirc Training and London Management Center. His award of the Zenith Bank special MD/CEO Award for 2009 attests to his professional excellence.
George Tsidi Blavo – Divisional Head, Marketing
Mr. George Blavo holds a BA (Social Science) and Dip. Ed. from the University of Cape Coast and is currently a Divisional Head of the Bank’s Marketing Division, a position he has held since the year 2010. He is also responsible for the day to day business operations of some selected branches of the Bank.
In this capacity, he has effectively and successfully developed high performing teams that have consistently achieved targets set. He has also built a network of contacts in various industries that drive proactive business developments within all eight (8) marketing sectors of the Bank.
George has attended several Executive Management Courses in high level institutions such as the London School of Economics, the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, South Africa, Crown Agents, UK, Spearhead Training, Coventry, UK and the London Management Centre also in the UK.
George Blavo has over the years proven to be an effective leader and is highly knowledgeable in the Banking Industry.
Kwame Adadey – Divisional Head, Marketing
Kwame has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Finance Option from the University of Ghana, an ACI Dealer Certificate and is also a member of the Association of Financial Markets. He joined Zenith Bank Ghana on November 1, 2005.
Prior to joining the Bank, Kwame worked at Deloitte & Touche Consulting West as a Business Analyst, and British American Tobacco as Management Trainee where he became Lead Department Accountant. In October 2000, he joined Fidelity Discount House as the Money Market Dealer and rose to the rank of Chief Dealer, a position he occupied for 3 years.
Kwame assumed the role of Treasurer, Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited from 2006 to March 2010 and by dint of hard work, he become the Group Head – Business Services supervising the Treasury, Cards Services and Domestic Operations (Customer Service, Cash &Teller, Funds Transfer, Clearing and Money Transfer Unit) of the Bank. He was further given an additional responsibility as Co-ordinator of Custodian Services department when it was being set up.
He was Group Head in Marketing for 4 years and is now Divisional Head overseeing 8 business groups of the Bank. Kwame also heads the Bank’s Product Development Committee.
James Wiafe Akenten – Divisional Head, Marketing
James acquired his Master of Arts in Degree in Money, Banking and Finance from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Law from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
James has almost two decades’ experience in Banking, Marketing and Business Development. He started his Banking career with Amalgamated Bank, now Bank of Africa, having had two years stint with KPMG as Business Advisory and Management Consultant.
James joined Zenith Bank Ghana in 2006 as Senior Banking Officer and currently holds the position of Divisional Head – Marketing, in charge of six (6) Business Groups. Prior to his current position, James managed branches and sectors (Mining, Construction and Real Estate as well as Telecommunications) of the bank. He was later appointed Zonal Head for the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Regions. He was subsequently promoted to the position of Group Head overseeing Business Groups which included Energy, Public Sector and Commercial Banking.
James has demonstrated skills in People Management, Mentoring and Coaching.
He has attended courses in London (UK), South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria in Strategic Leadership, Managing for Superior Performance, Business Restructuring or Remodeling, among others.
